About Us

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Timmerman Composite Squadron!

The Timmerman Composite Squadron (TCS) is a pioneering squadron for the Wisconsin Wing and the Civil Air Patrol as a whole. It has been comprised of three units, merging to form one, with the goal of disbanding back into three units with a target date of a three-year period. The Timmerman Composite Squadron will disband into three separate units to include the Milwaukee Emergency Services Squadron, Mitchell Composite Squadron 9, and the Timmerman Composite Squadron.

Currently, we are at our three-year mark and making strong strides to split into our component units.  Our membership has maintained around the fifty-member mark for over a year, and is showing a promising future because of new cadets and senior members.

TCS participates actively in all three of Civil Air Patrol’s missions.  We have an active Cadet Program, which is home to the Wisconsin Wing Drill Team for two years running, a color guard which performs ceremonies such as flag presentations, wreath laying, and flag presentations for our passed veterans’ gravestones on Memorial Day.

Our Emergency Services mission supports the Wisconsin Wing for active search and rescue, air and ground, digital photoreconnaissance, and disaster relief.  Recent activities include response to the EAA fly-in, and the Baraboo,Wisconsin flooding in June 2008.


Our Aerospace Education mission is unmatched!  TCS has participated in Civil Air Patrol’s Aerospace Excellence (AEX) program for four years.  Further, we are home to Brewer Aerospace Education Award recipients, both Senior (Maj (Dr.) Greg Schulz) and Cadet (FO (then C/2d Lt) Josiah Baker).
